Driving & BART Directions

Note:  Do not use MapQuest to find directions.  It seems to direct people the wrong way.  Use these instructions instead! 

FROM OAKLAND / HAYWARD:

Go south on Highway 880.

Take the Mowry exit (Fremont / Newark)

Turn left and go over the overpass (east, facing the hills).

Stay on Mowry for about two miles.

When you pass Fremont Boulevard, get in the left hand lane.

Turn left at Paseo Padre Parkway (look for Western Dental).

Take 2nd driveway past Western Dental.  Look for a brown building called the Murco Building.  Address is 38750 Paseo Padre Parkway. 

Tools for Transition's name is not on the front of the building.  Signs include businesses providing drapery, insurance, legal and travel services. If you pass a nursery school with geodesic domes, you went one building too far. 

Drive around to the back parking lot.  We are the first office to the left, Suite C-11. No charge for parking.

FROM SAN JOSE:

Go North on Highway 880.

Take the Mowry exit (Fremont / Newark)

Cross Dumbarton Bridge.

Go south on Highway 880

FROM PLEASANTON / TRI-VALLEY AREA:

Option 1: 

Take 580 West to 880 South.

Then follow directions shown for Oakland / Hayward travelers.

Option 2: 

Take 680 South.  Take 84 West (Calaveras Road) to go through Sunol Canyon towards Fremont.  Turn left on Mission Boulevard. 

Turn right on Mowry. Go about one mile.  You will pass BART and then Washington Hospital.

Turn right on Paseo Padre Parkway.  (Look for Western Dental). 

Option 3:

Take 680 South and go over the "Sunol Grade".  Take Mission Boulevard exit.  (Be aware - the exit comes up quickly after a short turn in the road.  You should already be in the right lane as you start to come down the hill.) 

Go north on Mission Boulevard.  Turn left at Mowry. You will see a Frontier Motel opposite Mowry - it is a T-intersection.  Go about one mile on Mowry.  You will pass BART and then Washington Hospital.  Turn right on Paseo Padre Parkway (Look for Western Dental)

For all three options, once you turn on Paseo Padre at intersection with Mowry.

FROM BART:  This will probably take you 10-15 minutes to walk.

Take BART and get off at the last stop – Fremont.

Go out the west side of the station and walk through the parking lot.

Turn right at Civic Center Drive.

Turn left at Mowry (you will see Washington Hospital on the corner).

Turn right at Paseo Padre.  Look for a brown building called the Murco Building. Address is 38750 Paseo Padre Parkway.

Go through the building and you will see offices in an open courtyard.  We are the far office on the right, Suite C-11.
